Conquest! New Age Wiki

The honor system only applies to honor bound classes (Clerics, Fighters, Mages, Rangers). Honor is a measure of how honorable your player is. In general, if you do good things, your honor will go up and if you do things that are not good or fail at certain activities, it goes down.

There are 6 levels of honor: Immoral, Poor, Fair, Good, Excellent, Immaculate. Honor levels vary by player level; so Excellent honor at level 3 would be Poor at level 5. Non honor bound classes (Bandits, Barbarians, Vampires) always have Immoral honor.

Raising Honor[]

Honor can be raised by the following activities:

  • bestowing goods to alliance members
  • winning battles (less than target level = large, equal to target level = medium, greater than target level = small)
  • winning against hordes/pirates (via quest)
  • graced by cleric
  • using resurrect/sanctuary/tend on another
  • praying at the church
  • setting up low taxes
  • tithe success
  • using some magical items (book)
  • winning jousts
  • slaying a vampire

Lowering Honor[]

Honor gets lowered by the following activities:

  • looting
  • losing battles (inverse of above)
  • losing against hordes/pirates (via quest)
  • using divine intervention/excommunicate/seek/slay/turn undead
  • too many tavern visits
  • lord of madness
  • high taxes
  • tithe failure
  • using some magical items (cowl, dice, flag, thieves tools, vial)
  • losing jousts

Promotion and Honor Decay[]

To get move, signature troops, and protection when you promote, your honor must be Excellent or higher. Honor is lowered to Fair when you promote with Excellent honor or Poor if you don't.

For Clerics, Fighters, and Rangers honor is also lowered by successfully enlisting signature troops. Honor also decays each season, but never enough to trigger a demotion. Though other seasonal activities (e.g. high taxes) may lower your honor enough to trigger demotion. Each honor bound class has different requirements. Clerics have very high requirements and as such, may gain honor in larger batches whereas Mages have low honor requirements and may gain honor in smaller batches.
